West Palm Beach, Fla. – First Bank of the Palm Beaches is pleased to announce that real estate broker and business owner Darell Bowen has been appointed to the Bank’s board of directors. Bowen is the principal owner/broker of Bowen Realty with five offices located throughout Palm Beach County and a sixth office in Port St. Lucie.
A Florida resident and business owner for more than 30 years, Bowen is active in a variety of civic and charitable organizations. His past and present community involvement includes serving as mayor of Wellington from 2008 to 2012, officer and director of the Boys & Girls Club of Wellington, director and past president of Wellington Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow), member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, past president and member of the board of directors of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, member of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce, member of the board of directors of the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park and a director of the South Florida Fair.
In 2016, Bowen was a finalist for the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches Large Companies Broker of the Year. Currently he serves on the finance committee for the Realtors Association and as a director of the Beaches MLS, Inc.
Bowen is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He lives in West Palm Beach with his wife Sherry and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and at their North Carolina home.
